Pt. 6 Hezekiah: The Lord is My Strength "Watch for Pride"
Everyone loves a winner! This year, my favorite ball team is the Michigan Wolverines! Go Blue. Last year, it was the Oregon Ducks. Everyone wants to go to the games of winners, hang out with winners, and adore the winners!
These three miracles obviously done by Israel’s God– the death of the Assyrian army, 185,000 strong encamped around the city of Jerusalem, and the total healing of King Hezekiah from a fatal disease, and the miracle in the heavens of the shadows moving backwards, created quite a stir in the region.
It is easier to stay close to God when we are needy, or experiencing a trial. But when we are blessed, it is harder. That is when Satan moves in and tempts us to become prideful. Watch for pride! As you watch the video, think about a time when you yourself might have become prideful and God corrected you!

What is your greatest take away from this study?
Closure: King Hezekiah proved that a strong, biblical leader can make a difference! Pray and ask God for a biblical president, and for our current political and church leaders to be strong, like Hezekiah. Thank God for the lessons about holding on to hope in hard times, remembering that things can change quickly, remembering to Stop, Pray and Listen, trusting God in a crisis, relying on God’s healing power, and being careful to watch for pride. This year, as we elect a new President, help us all to pray for our nation and each other.
